2022

Rising Through Challenges

As we entered our 30th year, Nightingale stood strong, even in the face of a global pandemic. We adopted digital platforms, delivered virtual classes, and ensured that learning never stopped. Our teachers, students, and parents collaborated like never before. With upgraded infrastructure, smart classrooms, and a resilient spirit, we stepped into a new era of modern education.

2017

Becoming ‘International’

We officially embraced our international identity and introduced +2 programs in Science and Management under NEB. Emphasis was placed on leadership, career counseling, and life skills. Students began winning accolades in Olympiads, debate contests, and inter-school events. Our commitment to producing confident, well-rounded individuals found new expression through enhanced extracurricular opportunities.

2012

Towards a Global Vision

During this time, we deepened our commitment to holistic education. Student-centered learning, field trips, and awareness campaigns became a regular part of school life. We started exploring international collaboration opportunities, and our graduates began gaining recognition for their academic and social achievements. Nightingale became a school that looked beyond borders while staying rooted in Nepali values.

1997

The Founding Years

Nightingale International Secondary School was founded in 1992 with a clear mission—to deliver disciplined, value-based, and high-quality education. Nestled in Kupondole, Lalitpur, the school started with a humble number of students and a small but passionate team of teachers. From the beginning, our focus was on building strong academic foundations while nurturing moral character. In these early years, we laid the groundwork for our culture of excellence.

1992

Building Momentum

The school rapidly expanded both in size and reputation. New classrooms, science labs, and a resourceful library were added to support the growing number of students. Nightingale became known for its academic rigor, with excellent results in the SLC examinations. Annual events such as Cultural Day and Sports Day were introduced, strengthening school identity and student engagement beyond the classroom.

To grow well and bear the desired fruits, a tender plant needs not only a suitable place with a healthy environment but also care and nourishment. This simple natural phenomenon may help us to realize the fact that children, who are similar to the plants in many respects, need an appropriate environment to grow to be able citizens Right kind of education to the right children at the right time and place should be the goal not only of today’s educational institutes but it should equally be borne in mind by the parents as well.

Realizing this fact we, the family of Nightingale Int’l Sec. School, are always making the utmost efforts to create and provide the children with such an appropriate & well-disciplined environment which may play a key role in opening the door to all the possible potentials of our students.

We have recently constructed a building where we have tried our best to provide world-class facilities so that students can learn 21st century skills they need to excel in the present world. Spacious classrooms with modern facilities, hi-tech science & computer lab and well-stocked library with internet access are available for students to facilitate studies. The government has modified the National Curriculum Farmework and decided to conduct S.L.C in grade XII. We are fully prepared to face this new challenge.

LEADERSHIP STATEMENT

Academic Rigor & Student Flourishing

I would like to extend special thanks to our visionary and dedicated founder/director Mr. T.L. Chaudhary who has done a sacred job of humanity by starting institution where hundreds of people have got employment and thousands of children have benefited from the opportunities of building up their career. I was indeed fortunate to get golden opportunity to be a member of Nightingale family since early stage. As far as I know, the school has come a long way since its establishment. I have been the witness of school’s unprecedented progress and its long and glorious journey that the school has undertaken to become one of the best academic institutions in Nepal.

It is worth mentioning that it is right moment to showcase the tremendous achievements of our school with incredible stories of perseverance that it has brought home a myriad of credentials, appreciation letters, medals and awards. I want to remember the years in which Nightingale got historic achievements – in the SLC 2061 B.S., the students were able to secure 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 7th ranks in the list of Board toppers. Similarly, Nightingale stood Board first in 2062 B.S. Above all, Ministry of Education awarded our school the Regional Education Award in the two consecutive years of 2069 B.S. and 2070 B.S and the National Education Award in 2072 B.S.
